Remembrance Day (First World War centenary)

Here are some of my shots from our dawn-visit to the Tower of London a couple of weeks ago to see Paul Cummins’ Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red; appropriate to share today on Remembrance Day.

What I find most important to remember about those who perished in WWI is that they were just people, like you and me; they were people who fought for what they believed was right, for the freedom of their peoples and their countries, for the freedom of other peoples and other countries.

I know it’s not so simple, war never is. I know there are many cynics in the world. But, no matter how many years pass, people died fighting for the hope of a better future, for us. That makes me sad and it makes me grateful. And we should remember them.

Maternity Photography – Jackie

The lovely Jackie is pregnant with not one but two babies! Hers and Geraint’s twin girlies are due soon, I’m sure they can’t wait to meet them. We had a lovely photo opportunity in the Oxfordshire countryside near their family home – check out that fabulous bump!

Yoan’s 1st Birthday!

This week I was privileged to go along and take part in Yoan’s first birthday celebrations! He had a party and later went to see the fishies at London Aquarium – I joined him and his family for both! Happy birthday, Yoan! 🙂

Baby Photography – Dylan

Happy days! I got to meet 2-month old Dylan, his mum Jen, and big bro Ryan this week – it was a real delight working with them. We got some great shots of Dylan (he was loving the camera!) and some of the boys with their mummy as well as the two boys together. 🙂

Summer Babies!

Spent a sunny, summery afternoon with this gorgeous lot for some more photography fun! This time we were joined by Yoan and his mummy making it a full set – the whole of their NCT gang.

It was a real treat to see these babies laughing and interacting together, just as their mummies did before they were even born!

Anthony’s Summer Seventieth

I spent a lovely afternoon with Anthony and his family – ALL forty of them! – who had all gathered together to celebrate his seventieth. It was an emotional day and the first time in a long time that the whole family had come together for such a happy occasion. It was a privilege to share the day with them.

Elisi & Lee’s Wedding

Here is a selection of snaps from Elisi and Lee’s gorgeous winter wedding. The decor was complimented with some deep reds, perfect for this time of year: the scattered rose petals, the bouquet, and the gorgeous floor-length bridesmaids dresses.

The bride and groom looked very much part, stunning and handsome respectively – they were good sports too and braved the gusts of winter air outside for some scenic shots.

What a lovely day!

Newborn Photography – Clara

Welcome to the world, lovely Clara May!

Today I made a home visit to new parents Sarah and Jon to get some family snaps with tiny Clara. We had loads of fun and got some great shots; Clara was, naturally, adorable throughout!

Check out the pics, below. 🙂
